AI → EDITABLE ASSET

AI images are useless if you can't edit them.

Most generators stop at a flattened still. SKAND can split a generated image into Smart Layers and export a layered PSD so designers can keep working in Photoshop.

From generated still to PSD

  1. 01

    Generate or place the image

Start from a canvas still — generated in SKAND or imported as a reference. Keep the brief and references attached to the same node.

  2. 02

    Split into Smart Layers

SKAND decomposes the image into object layers plus a residual background so the split is meant for editing, not just a preview mask.

  3. 03

    Export a layered PSD

Download a PSD with a preserved paint order. Open it in Photoshop to retouch, swap, or composite without rebuilding the file from a JPEG.

What you can actually take out of SKAND

For designers who need campaign files, not just a preview. Use this after you have a still you want to retouch, recolor, or hand off.

  • Smart Layers are a billed, explicit split — not an automatic Photoshop plugin running in the background.
  • Export is a layered PSD for the selected split, not a live linked smart object.
  • Pixel fidelity is a product constraint: reconstruction quality is measured at export time.

Limits designers should know

  • Complex photographs and heavy textures can leave more residual on the background layer.
  • Type, logos, and tiny details may still need manual cleanup in Photoshop.
  • This is not a replacement for a native layered illustration file when you already have one.
